This piece is in great condition with foam box, light and sleeve. A moon and starts sign above the office door is an advertisement for the motel. Motel is a white building with blue awnings and door. There is a soda and ice machine by the office door. Middle class auto travelers were attracted to stay-over facilities that provided the privacy and luxury offered by Mom & Pop enterprises. By the 1940's there were motels coast to coast. The word motel is a derivative of two words, motor and hotel that came about at the beginning of coast to coast auto travel in the early 30's. Measures approximately 10 x 5 x 6.5 inches. Introduced in 1991 and was retired in 1993.
